The Red Hot Chili Peppers Perform at School Assembly and It’s Bullshit That I Didn’t Go to School with Kids That Have Famous Dads
“Guitar World- Students and faculty at the Viewpoint School in Calabasas, California, received an impromptu concert from the Red Hot Chili Peppers during an assembly on Halloween morning. Drummer Chad Smith’s kids are students at Viewpoint, and so the band came out dressed in costume—including Anthony Kiedis dressed as a schoolboy and bassist Flea as a skeleton—to perform their 2002 hit “Can’t Stop,” with guitarist Josh Klinghoffer playing the song’s famous licks through a small Marshall combo amp.”
First off, these kids definitely don’t know who the fuck the Red Hot Chili Peppers are. This song came out in 2002 and they were born in what, 2010 at the earliest? Nice try by Chad Smith to impress his kids and trying to appear like the cool dad, but these kids really don’t care who the hell is on stage. They just care that they’re not in class.
For the faculty, I bet this was awesome. Sure, it sucks having to deal with snot nosed shitheads all day. But at least you get a free Red Hot Chili Peppers concert out of the entire deal.
I didn’t get to go to school with kids that have famous dads, so my elementary school experience was pretty boring. But could you imagine if you went to kid with North or Saint West? The concert that Kanye is going to put on at his kid’s school when they have their Halloween assembly might end up being the greatest concert of ALL-TIME.
