Ace’s Picks: NFL Week 1
Ravens -7.5 vs Bills
This game doesn’t necessarily come down to the Ravens being good/decent. It comes down to the Bills being bad. They have no weapons on offense besides Shady McCoy, and Nathan Peterman may be the worst quarterback of all-time. Bills will look dreadful against Baltimore’s defense, and the Ravens easily cover.
Vikings -6.5 vs 49ers
Jimmy G has never lost a game as a starter. Well, until Sunday. San Francisco is having to travel east, which sucks if you’re a west coast team. Kirk Cousins and company should be able to put enough points up on the board, as long as their banged up offensive line can hold up. Final score, Vikings win 24-17.
Bengals +3 @ Colts
Road to the Super Bowl starts this week.
Jaguars -3 @ Giants
Jacksonville’s still a very good team, and they have another chance this season to make a run to the AFC Championship game. The Giants didn’t do all that much this off-season to improve though. They drafted Saquon, and they have Odell coming back from injury. Other than that, they’re still a shit show.
Saints -9.5 vs Buccaneers
Saints might win the NFC South this year. If they don’t win their division, then they’ll still get a Wild Card spot. Tampa Bay? Well, they’ll probably end up getting the first pick of the 2019 NFL Draft.
Redskins +1 @ Cardinals
I don’t know why this is my pick. I guess I just don’t like the Cardinals. Don’t think they’re that great. No, I don’t think Washington is good. I just think they’re better. Fuck it, give me the Skins.
Bears +7.5 @ Packers
I can’t wait to see this Chicago offense under Nagy. Trubisky is going to have a great year and he’ll shock a lot of people, thanks to the weapons that the Bears added in the off-season. They’ll put up some points against the Packers D, but even with Khalil Mack, I doubt they’ll be able to stop Aaron Rodgers. Packers win, but Bears cover.
Rams -4.5 @ Raiders
Rams have some dangerous weapons on the offensive side of the ball, and the Raiders are the dumpster fire of the NFL. First game of the Gruden Era will be a rough one, and the Rams should have the cover locked up by halftime.
