Reds Deal Duvall to Atlanta

Duvall was one of my favorite Reds, and he’s been really fun to watch over the last few years. The highlight of his Reds career came in 2016, when he was named to the NL All-Star Team. Duvall has struggled this season only hitting .205, but he does have 15 homers to go with 61 RBI’s. He’ll be an important power hitter for Atlanta when October rolls around.

Sims and Wisler are two relatively young pitchers. They’ve been used mostly out of the bullpen, so expect them to fill that role in Cincinnati or Louisville. If the Reds keep Preston Tucker, he’ll probably be a bench player. Expect Phillip Ervin and Mason Williams to become the starting Left Fielders with the departure of Duvall and the injury to Jesse Winker. The two will most likely split time and compete for a spot on the team moving forward. However, Williams and Ervin both might be starters for awhile since Scott Schebler is battling back from injury.

Thanks for the memories, Adam. Good luck in Atlanta.
