Le’veon Bell doesn’t reach agreement with Steelers
I feel like this feud has been going on for what feels like a life time. The Rooney’s have stood their ground on giving the big bucks to the back who has been one of the best in the league. The Steelers have placed the franchise tag on Bell for the second straight year after failing to reach a long term deal.
It’s reported that Bell wants somewhere in the neighborhood of $17 mill. I say the Steelers are picking a battle that shouldn’t be there. This is Leveon Bell we are talking about here people. He has rushed for over 1,200 yards the last two seasons and opens up the offense for long bombs to Brown. Big Ben is on his last leg and it seems this might be the last year of their super bowl window for a while. Just pay the man!
Here is what Leveon tweeted today….
to all my Steeler fans, my desire always has been to retire a Steeler…both sides worked extremely hard today to make that happen, but the NFL is a hard business at times…to the fans that had hope, I’m sorry we let youu down but trust me, 2018 will be my best season to date…
