Ace’s Picks of the Day: 7/11/2018
Nationals -145 @ Pirates
Gio Gonzales has faded after a strong start to the season. He’s sitting at 6-5 on the year with a 3.76 ERA. The series is currently split, and I expect the Nationals to win today in Pittsburgh.
England +125 vs Croatia
I don’t know anything about soccer, but I finally won a World Cup bet yesterday. I’m also cheering for a France and England final, since I’m pretty sure the two countries hate each other. I said I’m pretty sure, so there’s a good chance that I’m wrong. Whatever.
Orioles +127 vs Yankees
Wouldn’t put too much on this game. Sonny Gray has been miserable out there on the mound lately, and I’m betting on his struggles to continue. But there’s also the good chance that he comes out tonight and is lights out.
Red Sox -1.5 (-190) and -390 vs Rangers
Boston’s going for the sweep tonight and they have Chris Sale on the mound. Yeah, that’s why the ML odds are -390.
Phillies +138 @ Mets
Philly currently leads the series 2-1. DeGrom is on the mound for the Mets, but unless he hits three home runs tonight the Mets won’t win. The Phillies have overtaken the Braves in the NL East Standings, and they’re hoping to start building their lead with a win tonight.
Reds +172 @ Indians
Reds are the best team in baseball that simple. Going for the sweep tonight.
Cardinals -152 @ White Sox
Weaver’s coming off an 8 inning, 2 run outing. He’s had a couple of rough starts this season, but he should handle the White Sox lineup pretty easily.
Astros -230 vs Athletics
I can’t get the Astros spread to hit, so I’m just gonna put more money on the ML. McCullers on the mound tonight.
Dodgers -155 @ Padres
Kenta Maeda has been solid lately, and the Dodgers are looking to take the series with a win tonight over San Diego.
