Ace’s Picks of the Day: 6/12/2018
Braves – 152 vs Mets
Mike Foltynewicz takes the mound for Atlanta tonight, and he comes in with a 2.31 ERA for the season. The Braves are coming off back-to-back series losses from a West Coast trip, and they’re looking to rebound against the struggling Mets. Zack Wheeler gets the start for the Mets, and besides his 7 inning shutout last time out against the Orioles, his season has been a titanic struggle. I expect the Braves to get back on track tonight.
Indians -137 @ White Sox
Plutko struggled in his last outing, which happened to be the White Sox. After two solid starts to start his career, he eventually had to come out and shit the bed. Chicago’s throwing the old man James Shields, who has struggle this year. Cleveland’s lineup has been putting up some solid numbers this month, and they’ll tee off tonight against Shields.
Diamondbacks -142 vs Pirates
Buchholz has looked like a younger version of himself this season and he comes in with a 1.88 ERA through 24 innings. The D-Backs lineup has been hot lately, mostly thanks to Paul Goldschmidt who has found his swing after struggling at the start of the season. Trevor Williams has been sucking pretty hard for the Pirates all season, and his only solid game of the year came against the White Sox when he went 7 scoreless innings. In his other 9 starts, he’s averaging 5.13 innings and outing to go with 3.33 runs. D-Backs lineup will get to Williams early and often.
